Art Fundamentals (Drawing & Design)

Overview:

Students learn the fundamentals of visual art — exploring techniques in drawing, composition, and design. Lessons encourage observational skills, creative problem-solving, and expressive storytelling through visual form.​

Painting with Purpose

Focus: Color theory, acrylic or watercolor painting

 

Final Project: Individual or collaborative canvas
 

Materials: Provided or Bring Your Own

 

Overview:

Students explore painting as a means of self-expression and collaboration. Lessons cover mixing color, brush control, layering, and mood through color choices. Programs can conclude with a final art showcase or group mural celebrating the school community.

Creative Collage & Mixed Media

Focus: Visual storytelling using paper, found objects, and paint
 

Themes: Great for custom projects (e.g., Black History Month, Earth Day, Cultural Heritage, etc.)

Overview:

This program encourages students to explore texture, layering, and narrative through collage and mixed media. Each project connects creativity to real-world themes, making it ideal for cross-curricular enrichment or themed events.
